Trauma does not necessarily mean you wake up in bed with the sweats like they potray in the movies. Trauma can be seen by excessive reactions to certain things. An anxiety which rises quickly when talking to certain types of people. Certain colours, noises or even smells can create strange negative reactions. Trauma is encoded in our minds and will not go unless we use specialist tools like EMDR or Brainspotting.
